XRX Technologies launches business tools for SMEs

Kenyan ICT solutions firm XRX Technologies has launched a business tool that enables small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to apply technology regardless of their bases of operation.

Lucy Njoroge, the Managing Director of XRX Technologies,said: “Branch offices should be able to access information from their head office without necessarily being there.

“I think the opportunity is there for every single business to get into technology and to see how this new technology that is well priced can push them forward to be able to deliver good solutions to their customers.”

According to the company, its new technology empowers people to “fulfill their true potential”.

“As a company, we offer diverse technology solutions that help improve businesses and the people that these business serve. We exist to provide solutions that enhance the quality of Businesses through technology,” the company said.

Leveraging on cloud computing enables small business to invest in technology for a fraction of the cost, since the software is shared. Even with the lowered costs, some analysts warn of hidden charges in some cloud storage models.

Deon Scheepers, regional business development manager at Interactive Intelligence Africa, said: “Moving to the cloud can create significant efficiency savings for companies but only if they are aware of all the concealed costs. The most important piece of advice for anyone looking to move to the cloud is to research.”

XRX Technologies, which started as a Xerox distributor, has now transformed into a provider of office automation, document management solutions and IT systems integrator.
