Eight Kenyans make it to the Forbes African list

Mark Kaigwa is among eight Kenyans who have made it into the Forbes Annual list of African entrepreneurs under the age of 30 for making the most impact in the continent.

Kaigwa is a partner at Afrinnovator.com, a website focused on African innovations and technology.

He said: “It’s an honour to be selected and to see myself along such other incredible entrepreneurs. More importantly it can’t go without being said my work and profile has been accelerated thanks to the great work of my publishing partners at Africandigitalart.com and Afrinnovator.com respectively and the clients, mentors and partners of my consulting practice.”

The contenders were nominated based on their efforts to make a difference on the continent by attempting to alleviate problems such as unemployment and poor waste management.

The panel consisted of 12 judges from Africa who assisted in identifying entrepreneurs with exceptional work.

Among the categories in which entrepreneurs were judged were media, healthcare and agriculture and financial services.

The seven other Kenyans in the list included Joel Mwale, founder of Skydrop Enterprises, Cosmas Ochieng, founder of Ecofuels and Lorna Rutto, founder of EcoPost.
