Hellofood’s mobile app among leading food apps globally

Food delivery app Hellofood is among the leading food delivery apps globally with 250,000 app downloads in less than three months, topping the list in three African countries.

According to app analytic platform appannie.com, the app was listed as the number one food app in eight countries, including Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya, and top 10 in 20 countries, among the 23 countries where it is available.

Hellofood works by allowing you to order food with your smart device then specifying your area from where the app notifies users of nearby restaurants available and their various cuisines.

From a smartphone or tablet the user can then place an order and receive the order details, including the delivery time.

Global managing director Ralf Wenzel says the company is impressed with the fast acceptance of its app and Hellofood is now more ambitious in its growth, with a target of reaching 3 billion people in 27 countries.

“We are impressed by the overwhelming feedback we received from our customers and the worldwide success of our mobile app. Leading the global mobile app market for online food delivery services makes us extremely proud. The success in the first eleven weeks demonstrates the need for innovation. We are very ambitious and want to continue this growth and become the number one food app worldwide,” Wenzel said.

Hellofood is affiliated with other leading brands, including foodpanda and hungrypanda and is available in other countries including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal, Russia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Hungary, Poland, and Ukraine, Romania, Argentina, Venezuela and Saudi Arabia.
