Dimension Data release latest security assessment

Global ICT solutions and services provider Dimension Data has launched its Technology Lifecycle Management Assessment for Security, allowing companies to identify devices on their network that need more urgent attention than others.

The system does this based on the network location and severity.

Matt Gyde, South Africa-based Dimension Data’s group general manager of security solutions, said Dimension Data can assist organisations in building security architectures.

“With this assessment, we can help organisations to proactively plan, design, and build security architectures based on changing business demands and their appetite for risk. This will in turn provide reduced operational costs, better budget planning and a more predictable operational expenditure,” Gyde said.

Gyde warned that organisations that fail to apply necessary security controls stand the risk of experiencing security breaches with fatal consequences.

“These statistics should be a reminder to those in IT security to identify and apply security controls consistently across their organisation, or run the risk of  security breaches that can severely impact business and damage brand reputation if made public,” Gyde said.
