Orange launches Ramadan offer on international calls

Orange has launched an offer for the month of Ramadan, allowing customers to call for KSh3 per minute to the United States of America, Canada, India and the United Kingdom.

The offer, according to chief corporate communications officer Maureen Sande, is to enable customers to enjoy the spirit of Ramadan with family and friends that reside out of the country.

For voice calls to the Middle East the cost will be KSh20, while calls to Somalia’s National Link will cost KSh18 per minute.

“On our network, a call from an Orange mobile line to an Orange fixed line is charged as an on-net voice call at KSh 2 per minute. In a price sensitive market, many users hesitate to make a call from their mobile number to a fixed line, when the need arises. This is just one example of the value that we believe our subscribers will experience better with Tujuane,” Sande said.

The offer will run until August 11, 2013, and applies to calls made from both prepaid and postpaid Orange mobile phones, Wireless (CDMA) and Telkom fixed line services.
