The conference, From Lagos to Global: Digitizing Your Business Across Borders, was organised by 360di Limited, a Lagos-based digital company.
Welcoming participants to the conference, Lami Attah of 360di Limited described the various opportunities that are available.
In her welcome address, she said various business decisions could be rightly guided with technology tools.
In his speech at the conference, Peter Bankole, of Lagos Business School, stressed the need for business owners to start thinking global and give themselves over to opportunities presented by cheap technologies and devices.
“If you are not on the cloud or e-channel, you are just deceiving yourself,” he said.
In his own remark Ezekiel Solesi, chief executive of LIMBsimple, described as unfortunate the continual reliance on the “spray and pray” method of reaching a target audience.
He said “spray and pray” represents adverts that are not directed at specific target audiences.
He said: “TV adverts are examples of such. You just pay dearly for adverts that you just have to pray such gets to the desired target audience.”
He described as expensive and ineffective the importation of twentieth century ideologies into the twenty-first century. He described internet as a tool while developing a good strategy is the biggest asset to a company.
In her presentation, the managing director of Future Software Resources Nigeria Limited, Nkemdilim Uwaje, gave her 10 “Must Have Technologies” which will be reviewed later HumanIPO.
