Robert Alai. (www.nation.co.ke)
Alai is one of the two controversial bloggers that were issued with notices by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) together with Dennis Itumbi who are both alleged of spreading hate speech using social media.
His charges come hours after he was summoned by detectives from the criminal intelligence department (CID) for malicious tweets on his account.
Alai was summoned by detectives’ yesterday morning for implying that Judge Isaac Lenaola, IEBC chief executive James Oswago, head of civil service Francis Kimemia and IEBC chairman Isaack Hassan had met over the weekend in order to influence the outcome of the election petition in the Supreme Court, reports the Kenya Online Newspaper.
In his last tweet the blogger continued to show his controversial side choosing to direct the message to the authorities.
I don't have to please collaborators, chauvinists and colonialists pets. I fight because I believe it is right. #KenyansRevolt

The controversial blogger is expected to make a plea later in the evening.
Another controversial blogger, Dennis Itumbi, who was set to meet the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), claims they failed to meet him according to his Twitter account.
@ncic_kenyashies off from meeting me, they were to meet me today at 2.30pm...this guys simply have no case, Thursday will present myself
— Dennis Itumbi (@OleItumbi) March 26, 2013
Itumbi has also dismissed the idea Alai was summoned to court by detectives and rather he presented himself to the court to defend his Tweets.
The NCIC is yet to respond to his comment and it is unclear as to the direction of his case.
