The iPhone 5 was first launched in the USA, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore on September 21, and more than 50 countries will be added this month including Brazil, Russia and Kenya.
Information regarding pricing will only be made available closer to the launch date.
Three days after the iPhone 5 was launched in the aforementioned countries, Apple announced it had sold more than five million of the smartphones and exceeded its initial supply.
The latest Apple device is equipped with storage capacities of 16 gigabytes (GB), 32 GB and 64 GB and will be available in both black and white.
The iPhone 5 will be launched and available through Vodacom and Cell C.
The iPhone 5 is scheduled to be launched in numerous other African countries, including Kenya a week after its launch in South Africa.
