The telecoms company’s managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) Segun Ogunsanya told newsmen in Lagos the company is launching the new campaign in order to attract Nigerians to Airtel’s enormous capacity in addition to its expanding coverage across the nation.
These according to him are giving the company the right impetus as the nation awaits the official takeoff of MNP in Nigeria.
He noted the company’s massive investments in network upgrade and 3.75G network upgrade across the nation’s 36 states, including Abuja.
He said: "In the last 30 months, Airtel Networks Limited, has invested over US$1.5billion to expand and deepen our network capacity and quality in Nigeria, in pursuit of world class Quality of Service (QoS).
“It is on record that Airtel was first to call for the implementation of MNP way back in 2010, when we launched our brand in Nigeria. That call was made based on the fact that we were making significant investments in our network and customer service, which are critical success factors in MNP."
