Taking part in one of the panel’s Mobile Web West Africa 2013 today, Tunde Kehinde said the wide gap was a result of the incomparable experience that visitors have on their computers to the mobile experience.
Kehinde said the screen size is one of the major issues, but it is expected to change as new products and devices are introduced.
Concerning Jumia’s pay-on-delivery option, he said it does not suggest there is a problem with security on the platform, but it gives users more options.
He added the pay-on-delivery option will be in place at least for the next two years until more people in Nigeria embrace online payment.
