Omani Boamah, minister of communications, met a delegation from Prymo, producers of the One4All airtime card, in Accra, on Wednesday.
Concerning the One4All card, which allows recharging on all the country’s various networks, Abubakar Iss-Hak, chief executive officer (CEO) of Prymo, said it should reduce the cost of printing for the operators.
Currently the card can be used to recharge phones on the Airtel, Expresso, Glo and Vodafone networks with Tigo to be added next week.
The Ghana News Agency reports the government is using the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication to carry out the work and provide increased mobile coverage.
Boamah also said the government believes their policies aimed at supporting entrepreneurs are having a positive effects and will create more jobs for young people.
