Naspers announced in early September that it would launch the site before the end of this year.
The company in a statement said PriceCheck Nigeria is an eCommerce business that provides users with a way to compare prices and products while they are making a purchasing decision.
“After making a decision, users then go to the online shop by means of clicking on the offer and then they can buy the product at the online shop they have chosen,” Naspers explained, adding that comparison shopping provides makes it easy for users to make decisions based on their needs and requirements.
The power has shifted to online and mobile commerce to ensure that users are in a position to purchase their desired product, said Naspers.
The site offers different products for comparison such as books, electronics, home appliances and clothes for men and women.
“Users that create profiles can write product and shop reviews to assist other online shoppers with their product purchase. Registered users can also create price alerts that will keep them informed of a price decrease for their desired product,” the company said.
PriceCheck Nigeria also promises services such as booking of airlines under the travel subcategory.
