Ocular is a South African contact centre solutions provider and with the Radian6 agency deal it will now offer its customers social media monitoring services.
Radian6 tracks social media platforms and helps organisations “hear” what is being said about them, and by whom.
Pommie Lutchman, Chief Executive at Ocular Technologies, said: “Considering the fact that consumers are more empowered, connected and vocal than ever before, it makes perfect sense that they use social media to express opinions and sentiment with unprecedented speed and reach. Radian6 is said to cover “over half a billion sources” each day, including blogs, video and photo sharing sites, micromedia including Twitter firehose and forums and discussion boards.
Lutchman added: “By signing up as a local Radian6 agency, Ocular is now able to provide social media monitoring for our customers that can be integrated with contact centre solutions, including Aspect’s Unified IP.
“This allows users to determine the sentiment of postings, identify sources and allow agents to see all the relevant details.”
