Nokia’s Music+ will be available in South Africa for ZAR25 (US$2.70) a month to Nokia users.
Users are able to try the music service for free for a period of seven days, after which they can then choose to pay.
Nokia believe their service offers more features at a cost much cheaper than their competitors.
It allows the download of unlimited mixes for offline playback, unlimited track skips while streaming and the option to select higher quality audio when using Wi-Fi, and is available through internet-enabled devices such as PCs and tablets.
Nokia Lumia users will continue to enjoy free subscription without advertisements or registration to the current Nokia Music service, which allows users to design their own mixes from playlists “curated by an expert team of musicologists and international artists”.
They can also save mixes for offline playback.
