Hillary Clinton is now on the Twittersphere (twitter.com)
Her official Twitter account, @HillaryClinton, was unlocked and verified on Monday, and at the time of going to press the ambitious politician had already gained more than 300,000 followers.
Her first Tweet paid homage to co-creators of the "Texts From Hillary", a blog created by Stacy Lambe and Adam Smith during last year's US presidential election — which is also where her Twitter picture and header image come from.
Clinton's Twitter bio includes her wide variety of life experience as well as a hint at what is to come.
It states: “Wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, glass ceiling cracker, TBD...”
TBD means “to be determined” with speculation rife she will be running for President in 2016. FLOAR stands for First Lady of Arkansas, FLOTUS, First Lady of the United States.
Bill and Chelsea Clinton both welcomed the family's newest Twitter user to the platform soon after she sent her first tweet:
Thanks for the inspiration @asmith83 & @sllambe - I'll take it from here... #tweetsfromhillary
