TelOne Mozambique said service failures were caused by internet traffic rerouting to other routes.
TDM network failures forced the company to redirect to a redundant SEACOM path, which is not as steady as the primary resource.
Services were however restored by 11am yesterday (Tuesday).
TDM is the TelOne equivalent network for Mozambique, providing transit fibre network for Zimbabwean internet connection linked to undersea cables on the shores of Maputo.
TelOne subscribers have also complained about the general slowing down of the ADSL networks due to data cap limits according to a billing system introduced last year.
“The speeds now appear to be slow because TelOne now enforces the Service Level Agreement that users signed up for,” the company explained.
