“We are hundred percent protected from download managers, you can try it yourself,” Oti said.
According to him, the contents of the website cannot be saved for offline viewing, but premium users are allowed to create libraries.
“Overtime premium says that you just have access to a large library of recent, HD quality content and things like closed captioning,” Oti said.
He added that the platform does not support embedding.
“We don't support embeds. You can basically tell your readers about NextSpeel. The NextSpeel platform is our revenue source, we can’t redirect traffic,” Oti said.
He however disclosed that the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based platform is working on a dedicated and focused app and will soon make available second party features and third party partnerships.

“HD exists in some. Production is just a different ball game that we don't have control over. The only thing we can do is pick the best when we license,” Oti said.
He revealed that the decision to launch NextSpeel was a result of his flair for the flicks and realisation of the opportunities embedded in the soap operas.
“The demand for original African content is on the rise and I saw an opportunity. People can't necessarily hate them even if they are not fans of it. Almost everyone would watch comedy. Everybody wants to see Saka after a long tedious day at work. This time around we are even making it possible for them to carry it around with them,” Oti said.
