The biannual conference will cover the media and entertainment technology sectors with local and international exhibitors from management and manufacturing fields from July 17-19, at the Coca-Cola dome in Northgate, Johannesburg.
Simon Robinson, show director at Mediatech Africa, told HumanIPO: “We are focusing efforts to increase an African presence and we welcome African visitors attending the event for not only the exhibition, but also to gain valuable knowledge through the conference and educational workshop programmes.”
According to the official website, this universal event is “Africa’s biggest and most successful trade exhibition”.
In addition to its African focus, the conference is also of global note with increased international interest, according to Robinson.
Growth in the audiovisual and entertainment categories will be evident, with a larger product scope and more brand specific demonstration rooms.
“The show is accommodating more exhibitors, which means an increased variety of brands and products on display,” Robinson elaborated.
Furthermore, a new stage area will also provide showcasing of systems.
Viva Africa Sound, Lighting, Extron Technology Innovated Distribution, DWR Distribution, AV System Telemedia and Sound Harmonics are some of the big names that will be present in July.
Trevor Peters, exhibitor and managing member at Matrix Sound, said: “Our participation in Mediatech has in the past led to us closing deals with clients who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to see and hear our product.”
Bruce Genricks, managing member of Electrosonic South Africa, commented on the progressive variety experienced at the previous event in 2011.
Returning attendees are also interested in the new business opportunities the conference will offer.
The previous event featured 6,395 entries, 800 brands and 120 exhibitors.
