As a result of the increased traffic and downloads the company says it has been able to promote up and coming music artists as well as pay more royalties.
Mokgethwa Mapaya, Kasimp3 founder, said the company takes copyright issues seriously and is asking musicians with various takedown request to raise it with them.
“We encourage copyright owners to send us their DMCA takedown requests, as it is within their rights to do so as provided by the law. We will treat every case as an urgent matter," he said.
The company adds that it has constituted various back-end upgrades to stop the illegal uploads of unlicensed music.
