The 25-second clip shows a light-hearted side of Uhuru Kenyatta not often seen.
The video clip, posted by Nation Media Group’s product analyst Wilson Muirani, has fuelled discussion on YouTube and garnered over 20,000 views in less than 24 hours.
Muirani describes the video as evidence of good chemistry between the president and his deputy which will foster a spirit of unity.
His description of the video read: “The President funny moments a while ago while shooting campaign ads. Our nation should be led by the spirit of Unity and chemistry that is evident between the President and the Deputy President. God bless Kenya. #OneNationOnePeople.”
Viewers on YouTube have praised the clip and are asking for more as the country tries to understand the duo that has taken power.
Martin Gicheru wrote: “We need more of such moments, I am sure there were even some fails while at it, lets get them and laugh now.”
“Great stuff, we want more... Harlem shake after the win?” wrote Dennis Kiprotich, while Dennis Gitonga said: “Jubilated and Young....So Hilarious for Mr. President & his Deputy.”
It is not clear how the clip was leaked or whether the president and his deputy gave permission for its distribution on the internet.
The clip is however not one of those posted on the StateHouse Facebook page or the presidential press service (PPS) page.
