HumanIPO reported last month on the student initiative PitchIN, making funding and mentoring support available to local startups.
The INSAINe Breakfast event will take place on Friday, April 26, at The Pulp Neelsie Cinema on the Stellenbosch University campus from 08.30am to midday.
PitchIN co-founder Matt Pretorius believes the event is significant “to bring the out of the book knowledge regarding entrepreneurship and innovation to students”.
Five South African experts will share their insights on marketing, funding, commercialisation, business modelling and intellectual property.
Guest speakers include Alexandra Fraser, business developer at Invenfin and chairperson at Silicon Cape, as well as Deon Robbertze from Sustain our Africa and former creative manager at award-winning brand promotion company Ogilvy Earth.
Online registration for the breakfast, sponsored by Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), is still open.
The monthly PitchIN event will follow in the evening in the same venue from 5-8pm.
