The meeting will also feature an introduction to the Draft Convention followed by an overview of the process of adaptation that will be followed by the convention.
“The Draft Convention was developed jointly by African Union Commission and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. Its objective is to harmonize e-legislation related to e-transactions development, personal data protection, cyber security promotion and fight against cybercrime,” read the invite to attend.
Problematic provisions contained in the convention and their possible solutions will also be discussed at the convention.
The convention will take place on Tuesday, July 30, from 3-5pm.
