Coinaire.com, a Nigerian gaming site that gives players NGN20,000 (US$1,244) worth of airtime daily, was launched yesterday (Monday) with owners promising players more incentives.
The team behind the new website are Seun Aremu, Samuel Ajiboye, Ajayi Eyitayo, Franklin Chieze and Chioma Okereke and they told HumanIPO they got the idea to launch the website after an experience on Twitter.
“We saw somebody posting [airtime] recharge card PINs on Twitter. We noticed the rate at which he was engaging people and discovered that for every five sets of PINs, just two would be correct,” Aremu told HumanIPO.
“We thought we could do something better, so we decided to create a credible engaging platform, which is coinaire.com.”
The site was launched with just one game, MAZE, though the owners said more games would soon be added.
“Players are to direct a ball through a path. Make sure the ball gets to the exit before the time elapses so that player can proceed to the next level. There are power ups to support the players on the paths,” Aremu said.
To ensure that the project is sustainable in the long term, they said they’ve put up several strategies to ensure that the NGN20,000 daily airtime is available.
He added: “The public can be rest assured that all is in place to ensure that N20,000 worth of airtime is won daily. We have our profitability strategies in place and we will keep working out partnerships to ensure sustainability.”
The website can be accessed by logging in through Facebook or Twitter.
