HumanIPO had a chance to speak to the country manager for Afroes, Nathan Masyuko.
“Games inspire possibilities and the ability to reinvent one's environment. Afroes believes that its "social issue" games prepare users with critical information and skills to tackle real world problems,” Nathan told HumanIPO.
The company was at the recently held Plugged Digital Expo at the Sarit Center in Nairobi. The event showcased the digital inventions from various companies.
This was the right platform for Afroes to showcase what it has in store for the country in terms of mobile games.
“Afroes has so far developed 4 games, 3 of which have over 80,000 downloads. These games are Champ Chase, Moraba, Teka Champs and Haki,” Nathan said.
The games are readily available on Nokia Ovi store, Google Playstore and Getjar.
Nathan says that the company has not entered the console gaming scene and they would like to concentrate on mobile games for now.
