Shortly before the PCC reached their decision to dissolve the SABC board, HumanIPO reported Suzanne Vos resigned shortly after it was announced that her colleague Pippa Green also resigned, leaving just one member on the board.
Vos suggested Dina Pule, communications minister, was to blame for overreaching her powers as the minister and interfering with board decisions.
However, Pule, who addressed the SABC committee earlier, denied she was guilty of the allegations by Vos and recently resigned board member, Cedric Gina, that she was guilty of political interference.
“If I had interfered, some of the things at the board would not have happened... I wish I had interfered,” said Pule.
Now an interim board is expected to be nominated by the SABC committee and the National Board is to discuss the matter later today.
