Speaking at today’s session of Mobile Web West Africa 2013, in Lagos, Srivastava said Airtel is investing more on improving its services at the grassroots.
He said unlike its contemporaries, the global company has been in Nigeria for just two years, but now has enough capacity and ongoing network development.
He also revealed the network’s partnerships with mobile web developers and advertisers.
“We treat them well and stick to plans. If we agree we’ll pay them every 45 or 30 days, we do that. We are not the type of network that only pays its developers once in 3 years,” he said.
Srivastava was discussing whether mobile network operators should be taking more responsibility in enhancing Africa’s creative industries.
