HumanIPO reported last month Google had released the developer guidelines to its Glass Mirror API, allowing developers to begin creating applications for the wearable device, with eBay amongst those developing applications for the product.
MiKandi co-founder Jennifer McEwen confirmed to ZDNet the adult app developers were working on content for Glass.
“Google Glass Porn has been making its rounds, and while studios are intrigued, no one seems to be doing anything about it,” she said. “So I wanted to let you know that we picked up our Glass and, yup, we're making content for it.
“As far as I know, we're one of the few, if not the only, adult companies with the device right now. So far, it's really fun!”
McEwen said the company was looking to be as innovative as possible in designing content for the much-anticipated Glass.
“We’re experimenting with the features of Glass,” she said. “From our initial use of the device, photo and video recording is more powerful than we expected.
“Obviously, Glass is perfect for shooting POV video, so we’re experimenting with that first. But what’s really interesting about Glass is that it’s not just a hands free camera. It can receive and send data, so there are a lot of interesting interactions that we want to explore.”
MiKandi has fallen foul of a tech giant before, having been issued with a cease and desist order by Apple in 2011 in order to force it to stop describing it as “the world’s first adult app store”. MiKandi is now described as “the world’s first adult app market”.
