Nhlanhla Gasa, former director of DigiCore Holdings, was found dead in the Tugela River, Kwazulu-Natal.
HumanIPO reported earlier this month Gasa, 63, was found dead in the Tugela River, Kwazulu-Natal, near his burnt out Jaguar.
Police spokesperson Vincent Mdunge said yesterday (Sunday) the suspect was arrested at around 10pm on Saturday night after apparently being in hiding for three weeks, The New Age reported.
Mdunge said they did not believe the motive was robbery because nothing was stolen. He added: “It appears the victim and the suspect knew each other but it is still unclear how well they knew each other.”
Gasa had close connections to President Jacob Zuma and was the father of television personality Noni Gasa and former Miss South Africa Mbali Gasa-Ngqula.
