The appointment of Peter Jack as the new director general (DG) for Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has been approved by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Jack has been appointed for a first term of four years with effect from April 7.
The new DG studied at the International Information Technology Policy Programme, College of Engineering, Seoul National University, South Korea, and holds a Bachelors degree of science (BSc) in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Lagos.
He was a director and technical assistant to the previous DG of NITDA, a position he held for seven years, while he also designed and implemented the Niger Delta Youth Computer Training Programme for the Niger Delta Development Commission in 2003.
