Prayerbox.co has been launched in Nigeria to allow Christians to connect with their churches on the go. In an exclusive interview with HumanIPO, Oyelaja Oyekan Adebambo, CEO and founder of the startup said users can share prayer points and testimonies on the platform.
“Nigerians are religious. Whenever anything happens, the first thing they do is they pray about it and tell their pastors. This is why we are launching the platform to allow users to connect with their church on the go. Users can share prayer points and testimonies,” he told HumanIPO.
“You can share your prayer points with your friends and people you choose to. You can also pray for your friends and people you choose to.”
Furthermore, he said users can get live updates from the church.
“You can connect share and worship on the go when you can’t physically be in church. You will get instant notifications, sermon notes, audio sermons and lots more,” said Adebambo.
He added that while developing the platform, they put into consideration the various denominations in Christianity each with its unique doctrines.
“We are building specific tools to cater for different doctrines,” he told HumanIPO.
It also allows uses to pay tithes and offerings; there is a religious calendar and users can connect their social media accounts.
