Econet Wireless has launched EcoSchool a digital educational platform aimed at providing the university community in Zimbabwe with improved and free access to educational materials.
Piloted at the University of Zimbabwe, students on Econet will get free access to educational websites for free via smartphones, tablets and computers.
Darlington Mandiveng, chief executive officer, Econet Wireless said, “Ecschool encourages you to learn at your own pace, like distance learning.”
Following the platform’s integration with Econet Zero, another platform launched earlier which allowed users free access to over 60 educational websites, students will be able to save up to 90 percent on the cost of books.
In addition to the book collection, EcoSchool also has a chat platform on which lecturers and students can discuss and share ideas.
