Dell Services, the IT Services division of the giant computing company, was honored with eight Microsoft “Partner of the Year” Awards at the 2012 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC).
The company was honored for providing outstanding services, demonstrating excellence in innovation and the implementation of global customer solutions based on Microsoft technologies.
Dell was awarded the Public Sector Education Partner of the Year for the Dell Education Data Management Solution in the worldwide award categories; it won among a global field of 3,000 top Microsoft partners.
This award recognizes excellence in providing innovative and unique services based on Microsoft technologies to education organizations or institutions.
“Microsoft is pleased to recognize Dell’s commitment to education customers within the public sector by awarding Education Partner of the Year,” said Laura Ipsen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Public Sector, Microsoft Corporation.

The company was also a Finalist for two additional worldwide awards – the Worldwide Desktop Partner of the Year for innovative Windows 7 deployment solutions and Worldwide Content Management Partner of the Year for SharePoint-based web content management solutions.
