Uganda’s NBS Television has launched a mobile app allowing viewers to watch programmes on their phones, the first innovation of its kind in East Africa.
The Observer reports viewers will now be able to access their favourite TV programmes wherever they go.
Joseph Kigozi, NBS head of marketing and public relations, said the app guarantees viewers a high resolution and crystal-clear high dimension (HD) broadcast.
“This latest innovation will not only help us serve our customers better, both in Uganda and in the diaspora, but it will also help us address the ever-changing trends and lifestyles of viewers,” Kigozi said.
The app can be downloaded for free at www.nbs.ug/mobile and provides viewers with local content from the station for free.
