Lagos-based consumer internet company Iconway has launched PricePadi.com, an online e-commerce platform that allows users to find products and compare prices from various sellers.
The platform presently has about 10,000 products which include mobile devices and computers.
“The platform’s wide selection of products can easily be navigated using its search and recommendation technology making it easy for customers to find what they need faster and view the available product offers online,” said Iconway in a statement.
Oduntan Odubanjo, Founder of Iconway said, “We have built a solution, which though far from perfect provides a great user experience for Nigerian shoppers to research items before they purchase. Our goal is to allow Nigerians make informed purchasing choices and we will be investing over the next couple of years to take this to the next level.”
Odubanjo said the growth of e-commerce in Nigeria has created a new challenge which is to give consumers access to the kind of information available on PricePadi.com.
“It would make it easier for them to not only make informed decisions about related goods and services but to also discover where to get them online,” said Odubanjo.
