Huggies Brazil has stepped up to the social media scene by creating wet diaper awareness through an automated hashtag tweet to announce moisture.
Named TweetPee, the diaper-based sensor linked to a Twitter alert helps parents to be aware when to change nappies.
The Twitter bird-shaped sensor tweets out wetness increase with the option of retweeting.
Alerts sent out include “all okay here”, “just a few drops” and “time to change”.
Through the complementing TweetPee app, parents can also track diaper use to prevent running out of stock and order more directly from the app.
Running on iOS, parents are informed of humidity increase inside the child’s nappy to hint at changing times before nappy rash occurs.
Though globally available through Twitter, the TweetPee system is currently exclusively available in Portuguese.
