Google announced on Thursday that the people of Ghana will now be able to post videos and also view local videos on the new YouTube Ghana website.
This launch is a move to encourage Ghana’s people to share about their causes, lives and even livelihoods.
Google has also partnered with some of Ghana’s content producers like Pidgen Music and Multimedia Group to help users discover local content much easier when visiting the website.
When visiting the new YouTube Ghana domain, users will be able to view the most popular videos in Ghana as well videos that are relevant to them.
To ensure that the user’s viewing experience is not hampered by low bandwidth connections, Google also has a low-bandwidth version of YouTube called YouTube Feather.
Although a lower quality of the same videos is delivered via YouTube Feather, it does not take away from the user experience.
