MTN accredits dazzling employees

Lonestar Cell MTN, a leading GSM company in Liberia, paid tribute to its “foot soldiers,” referring to its SIM card and mobile registration agents, who dedicated their services toward enabling the company to reach its greatest peak in SIM card registration.

Speaking at the certification ceremony, the firm’s chief Tebogo Mogapi described the SIM registration process as tedious adding that the “foot soldiers” gave their best in the process.

He said that MTN is committed to working with the Government of Liberia to create more jobs.

The company certified the part-time workers as ambassadors of the network for their hard work.

The company also certified a number of its employees for their wonderful performances and cooperation with “foot soldiers.” Among those honoured included Mobile Money Manager Samelia Dempster, Paulette Finley and Marketing Officer Thomas Finley.

Cooperate Communication Manager Dr. Laurence Bropleh said their company is committed to implementing President Ellen Johnson Sir leaf’s mandate which calls for the private sector to create jobs for Liberians.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Darlingboy Diggs, an employee, praised Lonestar Cell MTN for creating job opportunities for them saying many of them were jobless and out of school, and since they received the opportunity from the company to execute its SIM cards and Mobile Money registration, their standard of life had improved.

Lonestar Cell is a member of the South African MTN Group, which is a leading telecommunications company operating in 21 countries in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. It was the first mobile telecommunications company to be Established in Liberia in 2001.
