Google Apps, in partnership with Domaindiscount24.com, has began offering 30 top-level domain (TLD) with 22 ccTLDs at $8 a year.
Domaindiscount24.com, an affiliate of KeyDrive Group, manages over 6 million domains for its over 300,000 customers worldwide.
In a post, Google Apps team stated that country code top-level domain (ccTLD) like .com.es or .jp are good for firms looking to build a local footprint on the worldwide web.
Hugues Vincent of Google Apps said ccTLD’s have been the most-requested from Google Apps.
“Now, businesses that wish to sign up for Google Apps but don’t yet have a domain name have plenty of local options to choose from during sign-up. Your new domain comes configured with all Google Apps services, including Gmail for your custom email addresses (@yourcompany.com). Your domain will be registered with domaindiscount24.com,” he added.
The TLDs will be available as follows; globally-.com, .info, .org, .net, .mobi, .biz, .name, .cc, .tv while in Asia-Pacific .in, .co .in, .org .in, .net.in, .co.nz, .com.tw, .jp while in Latin America .co, .com.co, .com.mx, .mx.
In Europe, the new TLDs on offer from Google include .be, .ch, .cz, .de, .es, .com.es, .me,.nl and .pl.
The Google Enterprise team says the new Google Apps will give their customers more flexibility as they register their domains and this will also give them a stronger web presence locally.
