Pastel, a developer of Payroll and HR software that offer comprehensive payroll solutions, recently held a forum to train companies on the use of its product, the Pastel Payroll.
Pastel has three modules namely Pastel Partner Payroll, Pastel Partner HR Manager and Pastel Partner Employee Self-Service (ESS) that offer asset management and synchronizes HR and Payroll to avoid repetition of tasks.
The software further enables its users to pull out employee employment report including an education report, history, training report and timeline of events even graphical departmental head count report.
ESS offers online management tools such as the ability to submit various applications when away from the office.
A representative from each of the statutory bodies that were present including Zimbabwe revenue Authority (Zimra), Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (Zimdef) and National Social Security Authority (NSSA) took the participants through registration and its benefits among other functions.
Zimbabwe payroll sales and support consultant Mr. Carlos George said the payroll system is easy to use, accurate and secure as it saves on time and allows integration into any accounting package.
He further gave examples of the NSSA p16 form, which deals with the employee pension and the Zimra P2 forms that touches on return for the remittance of P.A.Y.E are in their system, adding that it is something most payrolls lack.
Other offers he mentioned were the seamless software updates, legislative updates, statutory reporting as well as payroll reminders, adding that it is possible to filter and change the report layouts.
He explained that plans are underway to incorporate all statutory reports required by a Payroll Administrator and that with the annual updates on tax tables and regular statutory, it is possible to keep payrolls up to date with legislative changes as it caters for different types of tax calculations such as periodic, average, directive and more.
