Tanzania Precision Air service has partnered with the leading mobile service provider Vodacom Tanzania to facilitate the purchase of air tickets via M-pesa services, Africa’s leading mobile money service.
Precision Air services commercial director Patrick Ndekana says the technology way is the only option of facilitating prompt services which are of superior qualities so that customers may benefit.
Also reports from the company indicate that the payment platform would provide easy, convenient and fast services to customers.
Ndekana further noted that customers would now be in a position of working from home or their offices as they make payments of their tickets rather than traveling to carry out the service.

Earlier on, the air service provider had introduced online pay model that allows clients to purchase tickets through credit or debit cards or visit Precision Air offices. The new method gives customer more payment options.
Vodacom Tanzania head of M-commerce Innocent Ephraim, hopes the partnership would give customers a very easy and efficient option to pay for tickets since the money service is fast, reliable and has revolutionized the sending and receiving of money since it was launched in 2008.
Tanzania Vodacom M-PESAoffers registered and unregistered services for prepaid and postpaid subscribers of the network service provider.
Registered M-pesa customers can deposit cash, send money, withdraw, buy airtime and pay bills such as electricity and water. While unregistered customers from any network can only receive money from Vodacom Tanzania M-Pesa and are allowed to withdraw from an authorized agent within the first seven days
Vodacom M-PESA has close to more than 20,000 agent networks across Tanzania thus the leading mobile money provider in the country.
Vodacom subscribers willing to travel can buy air tickets by pressing *150*00# before selecting the Pay Bill option on the M-Pesa menu. One will enter Precision Air business number as 333777, then reference number that serves as the booking number and lastly the amount to be paid.
