Electronics giant Samsung has scheduled this year’s Samsung Ghana Week for September 17 to 23 in Ghana’s capitals Accra and Kumasi.
Samsung will show off some of its high-end products throughout the weeklong event. Samsung will also host a consumer day aimed at entertaining local consumers while exposing them to its wide range of products and services, creating an exciting and engaging brand experience.
Samsung will in addition show support for the consumer community by offering free service and repairs of Samsung products, including notebook PCs, cameras and mobile phones, and raising awareness about the dangers of counterfeit technologies in Accra and Kumasi.
Speaking with journalists in Kumasi, Samsung Ghana’s corporate marketing manager Richard Nunekpeku said the 2012 theme ,“Creating the Future Together,” is targeted at reflecting the company’s commitment to inspiring communities through new technology, “innovative products,” and creative solutions.
The company will also carry out community social responsibility alongside experts from Afrique One Consortium.
The event will specifically be important to people of Amansie near Kumasi Ashanti Region with awareness about Bululi Ulcer and construct a borehole.
Samsung continues to expand its presence in Africa and seems determined to participate in a meaningful manner by positively influencing the communities where its consumers live.
In line with this, Samsung Electronics hosts a number of Samsung Weeks across Africa where the consumers have the opportunity to engage with Samsung brands at an experiential level.
The Korean company also stated that its employees from their Korean headquarters will join local Samsung employees in each country, to volunteer their time in the community as part of the company’s annual Employee Volunteer Programme (EVP).
With the EVP, teams will assist in providing ICT resources and the restoration of community centres, while mentoring school learners and encouraging them to meet their dreams.
