Electronics leader Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in Ghana following a partnership with mobile network operator Vodafone Ghana.
Ryan Na, Samsung West Africa Business Head for Hand-held Products, said the company would continue coming up with new products aimed at ensuring enjoyment for Ghanaians, thus making communication reliable and of a superior quality .
“The advanced technology and features included in Galaxy Note 10.1 gives users the power to produce, create and customise communications. The availability of Galaxy Note 10.1 in Ghana further demonstrates Samsung’s dedication to delivering products that offer a complete mobile experience for creating personalised and expressive content,” he said.
“We have partnered with Samsung to allow our customers enjoy using sophisticated devices which are also affordable,” said Ebenezer Ampadu, Head of Terminals at Vodafone Ghana.
Ampadu further said that the gadget comes with other exciting offers such as a Vodafone SIM with 2 GB free Internet for 30 days and double bonuses on their internet packages for the next 90 days.
The two key features of the Samsung device, which runs on Google’s Android operating system, are the S Pen, used for note taking and sketching services, and the ability of view two programmes at once through a split screen mode.
The S Pen can be used to navigate through the tablet, while the electronic notepad can be used to write or sketch drafts which the phone immediately translates into handwritten form.
Meanwhile, multitasking-enabled features allow the user to have an active learning experience by opening two applications side by side simultaneously.
It also has three connectivity options, a WiFi-only version, a WiFi-and-3G HSPA-Plus connectivity version, and a WiFi-and-LTE version available in Vodafone retail outlets.
