Botswana Post launches e-shopping site Posopay

Postal services provider Botswana Post last week launched an e-shopping portal dubbed Posopay, expected to speed up the adoption of Internet-based services by the public.

Online shoppers can use Posopay to buy a variety of products, including electronics and stationery.

“Posopay e-portal gives us an opportunity to provide our customers with a 24/7 service access to Botswana markets in a convenient and reliable way,” said Head of Business Development for Botswana Post Cornelius Ramatlhakwane.

The new portal allows seamless e-ticketing module and enables purchase into tickets for several events simultaneously. It will be used in the same way as a normal shopping mall, according to Ramatlhakwane.

“You can purchase our stationery, some of Botswana’s fine arts, and other electronics such as a highly demanded Samsung phone,” he said.

Botswana Post is mandated to provide, develop, operate and manage postal services in an efficient and cost-effective manner, as well as enter into bilateral agreements with other postal administrations on postal services matters.
