The Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) last week announced the Bake Awards that will see different blogs awarded in different categories. This is one of the few IT awards in Kenya but a first in recognizing blogs in the country.
The awards will be given in recognition of the most up to date blogs in line with fresh content, creativity and innovation. There will be 14 categories in the awards. You can see them here.
Speaking to HumanIPO, Kachwanya of BAKE, said “The aim of the Awards is to recognize and promote quality content creation in Kenya.” This aspect is quite important noting that in the midst of many blogs around the country, only few have relevant information.
The prizes have not yet been decided, “We are still in the process of finalizing the rewards, so I can’t reveal them at the moment.,” Kachwanya told HumanIPO. The process for application is already opened and ends on March 29th.
