GhanaWeb, one of the biggest Web portals in Ghana, has partnered with global dating site and media brand marketer World Singles Network to launch new dating site dating.ghanaweb.com.
The new dating site will replace the existing GhanaWeb’s dating column, opening members to a greater worldwide audience.
GhanaWeb’s chief executive Rob Bellaart said that World Singles Networks (WSN) will enable GhanaWeb to offer a superior dating service to visitors. “In addition, the partnership will untap a new source of revenues so that we can further improve the services to our customers,” he said.
World Singles Network, powers online dating and introduction services for leading media brands, online publishers and elite affiliate marketers. WSN has been in service for over 10 years connecting people across the globe through technology.
With plans to have more partnerships across the continent, the firm begins its introduction to the African market with this new deal in Ghana.
“Love is universal and should not discriminate. A few rotten apples should not spoil the bunch, nor should it be used to categorically exclude entire populations of people from everyday goods and services,” CEO of WSN Saïd Amin said.
“We see Ghana and Africa in general as a place of tremendous growth and opportunity in the near to medium term,” he added.
GhanaWeb is WSN’s most opportune gateway. It is listed as the most trafficked website in the country generating over 40 million monthly page views. Users have also contributed articles, news and views on the platform.
Eskimi, an Africa dating site, has garnered traction in its last days. The site has been able to attract mobile internet users in most African countries.In Nigeria, the site has attracted over 7 million users.
