With the award, New Horizons Worldwide’s Nigeria-based unit is now in the top 5 percent of Microsoft’s ecosystem globally.
The competency award will enable New Horizons Nigeria to make use of market opportunities that guarantee tailored benefits, which include eligibility for a direct relationship with Microsoft, customer technical sales and advisory services. The company will in addition enjoy prioritised exposure on the Microsoft customer marketplace.
Tim Akano, the managing director and chief executive officer of New Horizons Nigeria, described his company’s new partnership with Microsoft as an added advantage to New Horizons.
He described his company as a fast growing organisation with strong interests in the growth and development of the information technology and e-business aspect of Nigeria’s economy, as it will increase Nigeria’s opportunity to have more Microsoft Certified Professionals.
Akano said New Horizons Worldwide has offices in about 80 countries worldwide, and is committed to use its great wealth of unparalleled knowledge that it has garnered in the franchise’s 30 years of operations.
Apart from Microsoft, the Nigerian franchise of New Horizons is partnering with other major global brands, a relationship the Akano described as “robust and portends good for Nigerian professionals.”
“With our robust relationships with Microsoft, EC-Council, Oracle, Cisco, Certiport, CBP, Linux and SAP the future is bright for the Nigerian IT professionals,” Akano said.
