SA Telkom offers iPad inclusive Internet

South Africa-based telecoms operator Telkom has launched its “Awesome Campaign”, offering customers the cost-free addition of iPad, Tablet or laptop to Telkom Do Broadband Bundles.

The company is keen on expanding its gadget agreements to provide clients with a variety of technological goods, the News24 reported.

This initiative was revealed short after First National Bank (FNB) started selling devices online in addition to their banking services. The campaign has been launched mid-September, but has recently been extended to 31 December 2012.

The exclusive deal offers users a 24-month new Apple iPad contract, including a new Apple iPad with 5GB of data at R467 (US$54) monthly.

On its own the Apple iPad 16GB is offered for R248 (US$ 29) per month in a two year deal. The Apple iPad features a 9.7-inch Retina display, 5MP iSight Camera, HD Video Recording and up to ten hours of battery life, as well as 1-year carry-in repair warranty.

Other deals include the do Basic from R219  (US$25) that includes a free Wi-Fi modem for 5GB Internet monthly and the 8ta Internet Saver1 for R40 (US$5) per month for 100MB 8ta mobile data and an 8ta E173 data modem.

The all-inclusive package is offered at R507 (US$59) per month for 24 months, including Value Added Tax (VAT).

Telkom is South Africa’s sole landline provider, also offering citizens a variety of internet packages and related products and services.
