WebTV, a Nigerian online business TV, has launched a Web portal and corporate services.
According to WebTV’s managing director and chief executive officer, Mr. Olufemi Awoyemi, the online TV was established in May 2011 as an add-on complement to the financial market information service of Proshare, which is the nation’s frontline firm leads in financial information communication analyses and investor relations.
Since its creation, Awoyemi said WebTV has waxed stronger and grown to become a company dedicated to providing services with preference to those in the investing and commercial business sub sector.
With the launch of the WebTV portal in addition to the changes that were recently effected, Olufemi commented that the platform will be able to offer a common sense approach in meeting the evolving needs of the twenty first century financial market and business community.

The company, in a statement, said the banking channel of WebTV will deliver latest news in Nigeria’s banking sector. It will also provide current trends, products, service, regulation and compliance information in addition to expert and analyst opinions, executive interviews and consumer views.
“The WebTV Investing channel is all about placing information from publicly traded companies directly in front of savvy investors looking for smart stocks and investment opportunities,” WebTV added.
