Rasello builds customer base with SMS cloud communications tool

Tanzanian cloud-based platform Rasello is managing close to 500,000 customers and has sent close to 100,000 SMS broadcasts in the nine months since it was founded.

Rasello allows businesses and organisations to manage client and employee data virtually and engage through the SMS communications channel. 

Founded in February, Rasello offers three main services: a virtual data management system, a data analytics and business intelligence system and a communication channel that allows businesses and organisations to communicate with clients through SMS.

“Being a cloud solution businesses can execute real time engaging broadcasts anywhere as long as they are signed into their personal Rasello account,” says Natalino Mwenda, Rasello CEO. “Anyone can register an account and manage up to 250 records for free before upgrading to more space.”

The SMS communication product is target at SMEs and provides tools to maximise retention of customers and improve customer loyalty. Organisations and businesses can broadcast updates that appear on search engine results.

“All other services such as group analytics, online broadcasts, public pages, social plug-ins are free for businesses to benefit,” Mwenda says. “We are eyeing smaller and medium sized businesses to enable the firms generate a database of interested consumers and market to them at their convenience at industry low tariffs through purchasing SMS credit from the platform to serve direct marketing.”
