Glo Mobile Ghana introduces Christmas tariff plan

Subscribers to Glo Mobile Ghana are receiving an early Christmas present after the operator launched its new tariff Glo Biiiiig 5, which gives users five times the amount of credit they pay for.

According to the new tariff, when a subscriber loads 1GHC credit on their SIM, they get airtime valued at 5GHC. With the extra credit, the Glo subscriber can call anyone on any network in Ghana, use it to send messages and surf the Internet.

Augustine Mamuro, the company’s Head of Commercial, referred to Glo Biiiiig 5 offer as a present for the company’s prepaid subscribers. He said: “The introduction of Glo Biiiiig 5 at this time is not accidental.

“As you are all aware, we have just entered the Yuletide season, a time for giving and receiving and in that generous spirit of the Christmas season, Glo Mobile Ghana deems it most fitting to offer our subscribers the benefits of mega-bonus credits through the BIIIIIG 5 offer.

“The package is a mega-bonus bonanza intended to be enjoyed by all Ghanaians and as usual, those who are not yet on the Glo network can still take full advantage of this innovative product by simply porting their numbers to the Glo network to enjoy our mega bonus credit bonanza.”

The Biiiiig 5 tariff plan comes on the heels of Glo Gista which the company introduced three months ago. Following the launch of Glo Gista, call rates in Ghana were extensively slashed.

Glo Gista allowed the network’s pre-paid subscribers to call all networks at the rate of six Ghana pesewas per minute.
